Hardox® HiTuf

Hardox® HiTuf is an abrasion-resistant steel plate that guarantees impact toughness of 40 J at -40°C (-40°F). With a nominal hardness of 350 HBW, Hardox® HiTuf is an ideal choice for thick plate applications that require exceptional toughness and structural properties. In many instances, it can serve as a substitute for castings or cast parts. This steel is frequently used as a structural wear component for thick cutting edges on large mining buckets and shovels, demolition tools, and rippers, as well as in wear bars and shrouds that protect the underlying structure.
