Project Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Ensure projects are led and fulfilled from order to full production
  • Provide technically sound engineering solutions
  • Achieve effective results and to resolve any potential problems or issues
  • Main point of contact for designated blue-chip customers
  • Manage customer requirements and expectations including variations from original order
  • Prepare accurate timelines for all aspect of each project
  • Progress the manufacture of all parts required to schedule
  • Involvement in design and quotation process
ABOUT YOU
  • Engineering qualification or good engineering background
  • Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD and ERP manufacturing systems
  • Experience of sheet metal fabrication
  • Ability to communicate effectively both within the company and with external blue chip customers.
  • A flexible approach to be able to adapt to changing and challenging requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas

Production Planner

We are looking for an enthusiastic Production Planner to join our team to manage our day-to-day orders and projects from order placement through to full production to meet the customers delivery schedules. Using your methodological expertise in engineering you will face complex technical challenges, identify needs, gather data and create indicative planning schedules to ensure the delivery of safe, quality and cost effective solutions.

ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Ensure all orders and projects are led and fulfilled from order to full production
  • Main point of contact for customers, manage customer requirements, expectations and variations from original order
  • Breaking down engineering drawings to produce a bill of materials
  • Creating 2D DXF cutting files for use in our thermal cutting processes
  • Inputting manufacturing information into our operating system to generate route cards
  • Generating process manufacturing drawings
  • Prepare accurate timelines for all aspect of each order and project
  • Quality checking all programming work carried out to ensure high levels of accuracy.
ABOUT YOU
  • Engineering qualification or solid engineering background

Laser Operator Assistant

You will be joining our highly skilled Laser Cutting team to ensure work is produced to the highest quality standard and to customer requirements in line with production sheets. Your work will consist of Laser machine support and that they are kept supplied with material.

ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Ensure Laser Machines are supplied with the correct materials
  • Ensure material is checked for size, thickness and grade, prior to cutting
  • Inform the Laser Operator of any quality concerns
  • Responsible for quality of components that have been cut on the machine and standard of fettling
  • Marking up of cut parts, cleaning and fettling parts
  • Parts a labelled and palletized correctly
  • Ensure parts and sheets are handled and labelled correctly to remove risk of potential damage
  • Ensure ‘One offs’ are completed at all times
  • Marking up and cleaning of cut parts
  • Ensure the parts are routed correctly to the next part of the production process in a timely manner
ABOUT YOU
  • Knowledge working within a machining operative / machine minding capacity or general laser production
  • Slinging and lifting crane experience
  • Willingness to learn; many Production Assistants become Laser Operators
  • A flexible approach to be able to adapt to changing and challenging requirements

CNC Setter

Working as part of a skilled team, our CNC Setters machine critical components which are used on a variety of projects within our well-known sectors. You will possess high standards of workmanship in order to comply with internal and customer specifications. You will need to be self-motivated and determined with consistently high standards.

ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications
  • Set up and load materials onto the machine
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during production
  • Maintain a clean and organise the work area
  • Further technical progression
ABOUT YOU
  • Demonstrated experience as a CNC Setter / Operator
  • Experience with precision measurement instruments
  • Ability to seamlessly interpret technical drawings
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Able to demonstrate excellent manufacturing practices

Welder

We are looking to welcome an experienced Welder to join our skilled team and perform Welding activities on some of the UKs well known products. You will master a variety of techniques on a wide range of components; carbon steel, armour steel, and aluminium. The majority of the work will be MIG welding where your dexterity and hand-eye coordination will help to make welds clean and precise.

ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Perform welding activities on carbon steel, armour steel, aluminium
  • Weld various joint configurations in all positions
  • Ensure equipment parameters are set to the optimum to fully satisfy weld quality, integrity,
  • and WPS requirements
  • Review engineering drawings for parts to be welded
  • Satisfy production schedules to the correct quality level and within the specified time scale
  • Carry out and record the daily / weekly / monthly maintenance checks and record the necessary safety checks
  • Ensure correct marking up of component parts
  • Ensure that the labelling system is adhered to
ABOUT YOU
  • Recent / relevant Welding / Fabrication Experience
  • Understanding of quality procedures and specific customer requirements
  • Ideally a coded welder
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures
  • Proficient with metal fabrication tools
  • Advanced mathematical and engineering skills
  • Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas
WORKING HOURS
  • Week 1: Monday-Friday 0600-1400
  • Week 2: Monday-Thursday 2000-0600 (Thursday 2030-0600)

Press Brake Operative

We are looking to welcome an experienced Press Break Operator to our team, producing quality products to meet the exacting demands of our valued customers. This is an exciting opportunity to further your career within a fast paced, innovative and dynamic organisation.

ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Pressing using the Brake Presses to produce customers’ orders on time and to the correct quality standard
  • Setting up the machine – reading drawings, programming machine, tooling changes etc.
  • Marking up of pressed parts and packing
  • Robot Programming
  • Material Handling – manoeuvring of materials on to and off the press machines, either by crane or manually
ABOUT YOU
  • Previous Press Brake operating and setting experience essential
  • Ideally knowledge of Cybelec Software programming
  • Ability to read, understand and follow 1st and 3rd angle projection drawings
  • Knowledge of working with different grades of metal
  • Competent at using all forms of measuring equipment, i.e. Vernier, rulers, angle measuring devices
  • A flexible approach to be able to adapt to changing and challenging requirements
  • Quality focused with attention to detail
  • Excellent communicator
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas.
