Welder
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To ensure work is produced to the highest quality in line with customer expectations. To ensure that maximum productivity is produced without compromising quality, by following departmental procedures at all times.
KEY OBJECTIVES AND DUTIES:
- Perform welding activities on a wide range of components in carbon steel, armour steel, aluminium etc. and other metals as may be required from time to time
-Required to weld various joint configurations in all positions in a competent manner
-Ensure equipment parameters are set to the optimum to fully satisfy weld quality, integrity, and WPS requirements
-Review engineering drawings for parts to be welded
-Satisfy production schedules to the correct quality level and within the specified time scale
-Promote and encourage best practice in welding and welding procedures ensuring a safe working environment and complying with Health & Safety standard, hence reducing the risk of accidents whilst welding
- To adhere to ‘No Fault Forward’ policy
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-To work as part of a team to produce customers’ orders on time by strictly adhering to the production schedule
-To follow work instructions and Company / Customer expectations in terms of documentation and quality requirements
-To carry out and record the daily / weekly / monthly maintenance checks

-To ensure correct marking up of component parts
-To ensure that the labelling system is adhered to

FLT Driver
ABOUT US
MTL Advanced is a Yorkshire-based steel engineering and manufacturing company operating from a 300,000 sq. ft. facility in Rotherham.
We have invested in an extensive range of technology and equipment and provide services to a range of OEM’s from leading industries including defence, security, construction, quarrying, recycling and rail.
Our inhouse capabilities include, large format Laser Cutting and Press Braking, CNC Precision Machining, Fabrication & Welding, Shot Blasting, Painting and final Assembly.
We are looking for an experienced FLT Operator to ensure the efficient receipt, storage and retrieval of all materials (raw and finished) whilst ensuring it is correctly marked up. This is an integral role within the business, supporting our production teams to ensure machines have sufficient material to run to maximum productivity. You will require an in date FLT ( Counterbalance ) Licence to keep all aspects of the materials flowing.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
-Efficient unloading, handling and storage of internal material; steel, stainless steel, aluminium to appropriate holding area
-Ensuring correct storage inside with location of materials updated on computer
-Sorting and feeding production with materials to production plans including assisting with maneuvering of materials on to and off the machines, either by crane or manually
-Maximise the uptime of the machines by delivering materials in a timely manner
-Maintain accurate stock representation of the press racks
-Follow the Laser Kitting Process
ABOUT YOU:
-Valid and in date full Forklift Truck Licence – Counterbalance– Side loader
-Overhead crane / slinging & lifting skills

Quality Inspector
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To inspect manufactured components and fabrications to customer and/or internally designed drawings / CAD models using methods such as: Measuring arms (Faro or other), CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), General hand held equipment (Vernier, Tape, Rule, Bevel Box etc.)
KEY OBJECTIVES AND DUTIES:
-To follow the Inspection Plan set by the Quality Manager
-Conduct effective inspections using the equipment available and, in a timely manner
-Create inspection reports, on all components and fabrications.
-Liaise with the Quality Engineers, where required
-Conduct monthly internal calibration of measurement equipment to the calibration schedule and maintain the calibration register and records
IN PROPORTION TO JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
-To ensure knowledge of and compliance with all Environmental, Health and Safety Legislations

Assembly Operative X 4
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

-The HSE manager will work with managers to determine safe working practices, ensuring that all departments have suitable and sufficient risk assessments for their operations and activities, offering expert knowledge and skills along with a hands on approach to implementation of improvements.

Laser Operator
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To ensure work is produced to the required quality standard and to customer requirements in line with the production sheets (nestings & route cards). To make sure the Laser machines run continuously at the correct speeds to ensure maximum productivity.
KEY OBJECTIVES
-Ensure material is checked for size, thickness and grade, prior to cutting and to inform the Team Leader of any quality concerns regarding the material
-Ensure ‘One offs’ are completed at all times
-Responsible for quality of components that have been cut on the machine and standard of fettling if required
-Ensure customer orders on produced ‘On Time and In Full‘ time to required quality standard
-Marking up of cut parts, cleaning and fettling parts
-Assisting colleagues on shift, e.g. trainees, apprentices etc
-All control cards and nestings are filled in correctly, taking note of any special instructions
-Pass on all relevant information to the next shift, who are about to start work
-Ensure the parts are routed correctly to the next part of the process in a timely manner

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Create standard work, remove waste from MTL production processes & support Lean Facilitators in preparing for and running Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIWs)

CNC Maintenance Engineer
To carry out both responsive repairs and programmed maintenance and improvement work on a variety of appliances to ensure the smooth and continual running of the site.
KEY OBJECTIVES AND DUTIES:

Robot Welder Operator

CNC Programmer/Operator

MTL Advanced is actively seeking a seasoned CNC Programmer/Operator with a great attention to detail and a strong focus on meeting quality standards. The right candidate will be able to interpret technical drawings, program and oversee CNC Machines, and uphold our standards of precision and efficiency
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Independently program, set up, and operate CNC machinery to craft parts as per the specified standards.
-Able to interpret technical drawings and program CNC machine accordingly
-Supervise machines during operation, making real-time adjustments for enhanced results.
-Maintain machinery cleanliness and functionality on a daily basis.
-Check the completed products for precision, ensuring alignment with MTL Advanced's specifications.
-Promptly report and document any discrepancies in machine or tooling operations.

Press Brake Operative X 4
To ensure that all jobs are produced to the required quality standard as detailed in the job pack. To
make sure the machine is running 100% of the time and that it is set up to ensure maximum
productivity.
KEY OBJECTIVES AND DUTIES:
-Pressing using the Brake Presses to produce customers’ orders on time and to the correct quality standard
-Setting up the machine - reading drawings, programming machine, tooling changes etc.
-Marking up of pressed parts and packing
-Robot Programming
-Training of others in area
-Material Handling - manoeuvring of materials on to and off the press machines, either by crane or manually
-Housekeeping - ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the Press Department is maintained to a high standard at all times

Welder
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To ensure work is produced to the highest quality in line with customer expectations. To ensure that maximum productivity is produced without compromising quality, by following departmental procedures at all times.
KEY OBJECTIVES AND DUTIES:
- Perform welding activities on a wide range of components in carbon steel, armour steel, aluminium etc. and other metals as may be required from time to time
-Required to weld various joint configurations in all positions in a competent manner
-Ensure equipment parameters are set to the optimum to fully satisfy weld quality, integrity, and WPS requirements
-Review engineering drawings for parts to be welded
-Satisfy production schedules to the correct quality level and within the specified time scale
-Promote and encourage best practice in welding and welding procedures ensuring a safe working environment and complying with Health & Safety standard, hence reducing the risk of accidents whilst welding
- To adhere to ‘No Fault Forward’ policy
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-To work as part of a team to produce customers’ orders on time by strictly adhering to the production schedule
-To follow work instructions and Company / Customer expectations in terms of documentation and quality requirements
-To carry out and record the daily / weekly / monthly maintenance checks

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
Oversee efficient day to day running of your department via effective use of Senior Team Leaders, Team Leaders, Operators, and machining resources. Ensuring compliance to Health and safety policies, guidelines, and legislation.

Warehouse Operator
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
This is a frontline role encompassing product flow process ownership for the day-to-day operation of the Warehouse. Exceptional service delivery to customers both internal and external is the key operational requirement of this role.
