WEC Powder Coating is the newest division of the Group and it is a welcome addition to our already extensive list of services including laser cutting, fabrication, waterjet cutting and machining.
The £500,000 investment in the latest state-of-the-art powder coating technology now enables us to offer a high-end powder coating service to our customers across a broad range of industries. The system is fully equipped with two automatic reciprocators, a 90% recovery system and a four stage in-line pre-treatment plant, ensuring the process is environmentally friendly and cost-effective.
With the capability to powder coat components up to 1.5m high x 2.5m length x 800mm wide, there’s no longer any need to outsource powder coating requirements, which significantly improves lead times for the benefit of our customers.
Based at the WEC Group headquarters in Darwen, Lancashire, we have now essentially become a true a one-stop-shop. The range of colours available is virtually unlimited, and we specialise in the powder coating of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
We use Epoxy, Polyester, Polyurethane, Architectural powders and made to order powders and no solvents are used during the process.

It saves cost and time
Components can be powder coated in only one hour, and with our system it takes only 15 minutes to make colour changes. The fully inline process means our operatives don’t have to keep going back to check the parts, saving time overall. The 90% recovery system also makes measurable powder savings.
The process is environmentally friendly
The powder coating process is environmentally friendly and practically pollution free. Different to liquid finishes, no solvents are used in powder coating, meaning negligible amounts of pollutants known as volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) are released into the air.
WEC Powder Coating also offer shot blasting and wet paint spraying services with a range of standard RAL colours.
