ARMOURED VEHICLE FABRICATION & ASSEMBLY

MTL is one of only a few global contract manufacturing companies to offer a full turnkey solution for armoured vehicle fabrication, assembly and painting.

From its 30,000sq. m manufacturing facility, mtl has the footprint and capacity to supply volume production of armoured hull fabrications (fabrication space is 10,000sq. m) by utilising its multi-million pound investments in automated welding systems which includes a 6 axis twin robot system that ensures a 90 degree down weld on any ballistic joints.

The automated welding system can handle armoured structures upto 10 tonnes in weight.

MTL uses a cellular manufacturing process with quality gates to ensure customers receive the highest quality.

MTL’s state-of-the-art facility has a dedicated area for assembly of armoured hull fabrications, which may include  fitting glass, weapon mount systems, chassis and internal furniture within the vehicle.

MTL’s new state-of-the-art shotblast and paint plant enables any fabrication upto 15m (L) x 6m (W) x 4m (H) to be painted to semi-automotive specifications.
