MTL hosted its annual Apprentice of the Year Awards 2024, celebrating the hard work, skills and achievements of their apprentices at the New York Stadium in Rotherham, bringing together over 100 guests. Attendees included current apprentices and their families, training providers, MTL colleagues and esteemed guests.
Held every November, the event recognises and celebrates the outstanding achievements, dedication and progress of our apprentices over the past year.
A wide range of awards were presented throughout the evening, with categories including Outstanding Performance, Integrity, Excellence, Safety and Positivity, among others. Each award reflected the commitment and passion our apprentices bring to their work every day. In addition, our graduating apprentices were recognised and presented with their official apprenticeship completion certificates.
The evening concluded with the highlight of the ceremony – the presentation of the MTL Apprentice of the Year Award 2024, which was awarded to Welding and Fabrication Apprentice, Riley.
We were honoured to welcome Councillor Rukhsana Ismail, Deputy Mayor of Rotherham, as our guest speaker, and extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who continue to support our apprenticeship programmes.
